Prayer for the Young People at Castlewellan
The young people from Sydenham are again going to Castlewellan this year. Castlewellan Holiday Week runs from Saturday 31 July to Saturday 7 August and is a week when young and old come together for fellowship and to worship Jesus. We would really appreciate your prayers for the youth specifically, and for Castlewellan in general. Pray for:
- good weather. This really makes a big difference to the atmosphere of the camp. Please pray for sunshine this year!
- the young people going as part of our youth group: Jenni, Rebekah, Ashleigh, Claire S, Claire D, Rachael, Natalie, Rachel, Peter M, Peter G, Drew, Michael, Andy, Matt and Dave. Pray that the group would bond well and work together as a team.
- the leaders – Sammy & Kierinda, and Neil Morris, that they would have the same attitude as Christ in all circumstances. Pray for Heather Morris and Dorothy Kingston who will be cooking for us.
- those of the group who will be helping with an outreach event on the Thursday. Pray that God would use us to be a blessing to those living in Castlewellan village.
- Callum and Melissa who are helping with the Youth and Children’s Team
- our young people who are going with their family or friends
- the young people that they would be open to hearing from God as He challenges and encourages them. Pray that He would give them wisdom and discernment as they seek God and chat to their friends. Pray that the young people would not forget what God has told them when they go home, but that they would put His words into practice.
- the families from our church who are attending the week
- those leading us in worship and the speakers, Steve Cave who is speaking to the adults and Brian Heasley who is talking to the young people.
