Banners

The banners that can be seen in the church are a combination of the work of many people, who volunteer to sew bits and pieces that result in becoming ‘visual hymns of praise’.

In Old Testament times banners were more than mere decorative cloth hangings, they inspired the people, rallied them for action and more importantly signified the presence of God.

Our hope is that the banners in the church summon our ‘alleluias’ calling out, as did the Psalmist, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” Psalm 150:6.
