Committees

There are several committees that operate within the church that deal with the organisation and business of the church.

Church Council – gives leadership to the church. All other committees report to the Church Council. For 2017 the members of the council are: Carolyn Hall – Circuit Steward, Brian Maxwell – Society Steward, Gina Neil – Church Treasurer, Ken McGuffin – Property Steward, Neville Thomson – Manse Steward, Linda Nicholson – Church Secretary. The elected representatives are: Ann Anderson, Peter Morris, Stephen Gordon, Alan Gray, John Gray, Anne Holmes, Chris Wylie, Eoghan Rainey.

Witness and Outreach – is responsible for arrangements for witness, outreach activities and evangelism. The Seniors Working Group reports to this committee and looks after the fellowship provided for Senior members of the congregation.  The Social Activities committee also reports to Witness and Outreach and arranges activities and outings to enrich the fellowship within the church family.

Visitation – oversees the work of pastoral visitors.

Worship – is responsible for providing support for the various aspects of worship.

Local Preachers – oversees the contribution of local preachers to the life of the church.

Youth and Children – is responsible for all organisations and activities for the children and young people.

Finance and Property – is responsible for the finances of the church and the maintenance and development of all the church properties.

Sunday 21 October 2018

Rev Robin Waugh will lead the Girls’ Brigade Enrolment service at 11.00 am and Sammy Stanfield will be the preacher at the evening service at 7.00 pm. We give a warm welcome to anyone wanting to visit our church and spend time in fellowship with us. Please make yourself known to the minister or door steward.

Bible Study

The mid-week Bible Study meets in The Taylor at 7.30 pm on Wednesday evenings. The current topic is the book of Galatians.

Men’s Breakfast

The next Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday 20 October at 9.00 am in Orchard Cafe. All men welcome!
