Girls’ Brigade

The 7th NI Sydenham Methodist Girls Brigade is a Christian, uniformed organization for girls of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

We meet on Thursday nights for a programme of fun activities. All girls are very welcome!

Age groups & meeting times:

  • Explorers     3 – 7 years old       – 6.00 – 7.30 pm
  • Juniors         8 – 10 years old     – 6.30 – 8.15 pm
  • Seniors      11 – 13 years old     – 7.30 – 9.30 pm
  • Brigaders  14 – 18 years old     – 7.30 – 9.30 pm

Our programme is designed to educate, challenge and inspire young girls, and is split into 4 main areas: – Spiritual, Physical, Educational & Service. We go on outings, and the 8 years upwards go camping. We invite people to come and share their experiences with us e.g. missionaries, pop dancers, puppeteers. We attend District Parades and enter District Competitions.

Sunday 21 October 2018

Rev Robin Waugh will lead the Girls’ Brigade Enrolment service at 11.00 am and Sammy Stanfield will be the preacher at the evening service at 7.00 pm. We give a warm welcome to anyone wanting to visit our church and spend time in fellowship with us. Please make yourself known to the minister or door steward.

Bible Study

The mid-week Bible Study meets in The Taylor at 7.30 pm on Wednesday evenings. The current topic is the book of Galatians.

Men’s Breakfast

The next Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday 20 October at 9.00 am in Orchard Cafe. All men welcome!
